Reports are coming out that President Donald Trump made a phone call to a widow whose husband was a police officer who was shot by an ex-prisoner. Trump sent his condolences and said that his thoughts and prayers are with the woman and her family. A gesture most kind, one that all of us should do as support and care for those in need material or spiritual.
Donald Trump met with President Obama yesterday and most rational pundits agreed that Trump looked presidential.
President Obama sounded pretty good too which was definitely a surprise, but don’t let Obama’s conciliatory tone fool you; here’s what’s really going on.
Anyways, over the course of his life, Trump has proven on numerous occasions that he can handle situations with class.
In fact, our next president is already making moves that prove he’s ready for his role as president.
It looks like he called the wife of a slain NYPD officer to console her.
From NY Post:
President-elect Donald Trump called slain NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo’s widow Thursday morning and personally extended his “condolences” to her on the day that thousands of police officers paid tribute to the fallen Finest at his funeral.
“I’m very sorry I cannot be there with you today. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time,” Trump told the grieving woman, according to a source.
“I want to express my condolences from me and my family.”
Tuozzolo, a married father of two, was shot and killed last week by 35-year-old ex-con Manuel Rosales. Tuozzolo had been responding to a report of a break-in.
Classy move from President-elect Trump.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sgt. Tuozzolo’s family.
One of the many issues Trump will be tasked with is how to stop this recent trend of bashing the police at every turn.
